Flemish DNA: Modal DNA values

   A comparison of Y-DNA records collected via the Flanders-Flemish DNA project can be made through web-based utilities. Some preliminary results are provided in this section.

The first result obtained by entering all 45 Y-DNA records in the Y-DNA Comparison Utility is the modal of all DNA records of this project. The modal provides the most common allele values for each DYS-marker. The Table below shows the modal values for 67+ markers based on 45 DNA records collected through the FF-DNA project as of March 2007.

Note that for the first 12 markers, this modal is based on all 45 records; however for the other makers, the modal is based on a much smaller subset since few DNA records uploaded were tested for 25, 37 or 67 markers.

Some 54% of the Flanders Flemish DNA records have R1b1 as predicted or confirmed haplogroups.
